The inaugural Khelo India Tribal Games in Chhattisgarh has evolved into a powerful platform for nurturing grassroots athletic talent while stimulating regional economic activity. With over 3,000 athletes from 30 states and Union Territories, the multi-location event is redefining inclusivity in Indian sports. Karnataka leads the medal tally with 15 gold medals, followed by Odisha and Arunachal Pradesh.

Karnataka’s swimmers delivered a commanding performance at the Khelo India Tribal Games, amassing over 20 medals and establishing clear dominance in the pool. At the center of this success was Manikanta L, a 21-year-old athlete from Davanagere, who secured an extraordinary haul of eight gold medals and one silver. His achievements not only underscored individual brilliance but also reflected the growing strength of grassroots sports development in India.
