Sri Lankan fast bowler Matheesha Pathirana has been cleared by Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) after successfully passing his mandatory fitness assessment, paving the way for his return to competitive action in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. The pacer has also been granted a no-objection certificate, allowing him to travel to India and join Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Pathirana is expected to link up with the franchise ahead of their upcoming fixture against Gujarat Titans on April 17.
